The good news is that The Promised Neverland Season 2 release date will be in 2020 (It was confirmed on March 28, 2019). We don’t know about the exact date or when will it air but during the anime expo 2019, The Promised Neverland’s director Mamoru Kanbe said that adapting the story of the Manga will be a challenge. He also declared that the anime staff has already started working on the anime’s script.

Since the anime staff is already working on The Promised Neverland Season 2, it’s highly likely that it will air in the fall or summer of 2020.

Judging from the Manga, it seems that it will be difficult to put in the next two arcs in a twelve-episode season. So, there is a chance that the next season can be of 24 episodes.

The Promised Neverland season 1 ended with Emma, Ray, and the other kids except for the ones that are younger than six making a grand escape from the Grace field house. Now that they were in the outside world things were just about to get more interesting but the anime ended.

The first season focused on the escape, the second season will focus on whether or not can Emma keeps her promise which is to save everyone, even the ones that they left behind. We’ll have to wait for the anime to find that out OR we can just start the manga.

The Promised Neverland Manga started back in the year 2016 and it is currently in the final arc which means that the Manga will probably end by the time the season 2 releases.

If you haven’t yet started the Manga of the promised Neverland I encourage you to start it right now. The 1st season covered the first 37 chapters from the Manga and there’s no telling how they are going to manage the second. They will eventually leave us on another cliffhanger anyway.

The Manga has a lot more than what they showed in anime, so I’d recommend that you start the Manga from chapter 1 to get the true sense of the story. There are as many plot twists as you can imagine. Just when we think that we know what is about to happen, we will realize that everything we thought we knew was just an illusion.
